Ernie Catanzaro is the Head of Hospitality for Olshan Properties and is responsible for all operating aspects and hotel growth initiatives for the company including revenue and sales growth; expense, cost and margin control; and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goal management.

Mr. Catanzaro has over 30 years of hotel, resort, and casino experience primarily in upscale major branded hotels and resorts throughout the country.  Mr. Catanzaro started his career at the Long Island Marriott where he was selected to be part of Marriott Hotels Food and Beverage training program where he received several management promotions, and also served on the opening team of the 1,500 room Marriott Orlando World Center.

Prior to joining Olshan Properties, Mr. Catanzaro, served as Reginal Director for United Capital Corp responsible for a portfolio of hotels which included a beach front resort featuring a world class spa.   Previous positions also include Vice President of the Dow Hotel Company where he rapidly led the charge of numerous hotel takeovers, was the liaison for various ownership groups, and led a team where they consistently outperformed their competitors.  While with the Dow Hotel Company, Mr. Catanzaro was awarded Corporate employee of the year.     

In the late 90’s, he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Melrose Hotel Company where he was an integral part of rolling out a brand for an upper-upscale independent portfolio of hotels located in major metropolitan markets.

Mr. Catanzaro received his Associates Degree in Hotel Management and has received certificates from Cornell University where he received extensive training in areas such as Leadership and Strategic Management, Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management, and Employee Engagement.
